The upgrade has left me high and dry.
Disk check revealed no errors on the DVD. So i just went about upgrading from FC6 “Zod” to FC7 “Moonshine”. The upgrade stopped at an OpenOffice xslt file. So at 1:30AM, i’m left with a system that is neither Zod nor Moonshine.
Then i started the Moonshine installation series.
2:00AM – Started the first Fedora 7 installation.
3:30AM – i wake up to see that its stuck, saying that “Bud Buddy” has a problem with the RPM file. Ok so start again without selecting Bug Buddy
5:30AM – woke up to find that “JADE” has the same problem. Restared without BugBuddy and Jade
7:30AM – Problem with KDEAppExtras. Closed the installation and wet for the Bangalore’s bloggers meet
3:40PM – Started again and this time everything went fine, just that i forgot to specify the /home and /usr directories.
NOW – after much tweeking, i find that i’m almost back in business
How do i feel using Moonshine? It definitely feels faster on my ThinkPad and looks cool too. Lets wait and see what all fails.
