The organizers did an excellent job, they got a place for us to get together, a place to talk, but thank god they were not strict at anything. It was like giving every one a kg of rice to cook at the end of the day we had pulav, curd rice, biriyani, fried rice, etc etc etc and some invented ones too … (the true spirit of a barcamp)
The hang over of attending my first ever barcamp is showing its side-effects on me. I’m here killing my roomies with the verbiag, talking about the uber-geek and uber-geek girls that i saw (wish i had their numbers) and i’m still up blogging about it.
What!!!,Dude you missed it! You have the your last reason to be alive, its there agian tomorow. Attend it!!!
The day started off announcing that we are all Indians, and hour late. SO what lazy people like me who slept off were able to make it on time. of the 550+ (the figure i heard as word of mouth) people who attended it 70% where first timers, there was a guy who was attending his 4th barcamp and another his 5th. Interestingly there was an educator who was interested in knowing about the technologies and dropped in to learn.
The crowd pulling collectives were mainly Investors Collective, Internet Collective and Startups Collective. Wow!!! indeed people are money minded. (these had people more that they could ask for)
The ones that had a room full of participants were Bloggers Collective, Ruby Collective, Mobile Collective and almost all the technical collectives.
The jovial collectives were Photography, Biking, Eat out at Bangalore and Un-Band
The Un-band not-so-bad-band had the evening for themselves when they performed a live jamming session for a packed audience. I enjoyed the flow of the music. You guys rocked.
What to expect tomorow? - I’m sure about Bloggers’ Collective continuing and may be i might have a collective on Firefox Plugins. But as i said planned collectives were killed and new ones were born at the spot, so just be prepared for anything.
May be someone might talk about SEX! ohhh
