Creative Commons Licenses – A must have !!!

The latest problem faced by the blogs like, The Great Indian Mutiny, Hindu Mommy and scores of other indian blogs, where a NASDAQ listed company, site scrapped these blogs. The company Communications Director apologised to all the bloggers stating that they were attacked by a malicious coder’s spyder and, as soon as they could, they will have the situation fixed.

Well this incident made me thing about having a Creative Commons Licence. Creative Commons Licenses A must have !!!

This is a must for all the bloggers and site owners or lets say for everyone who pust their content up on the web. This not only gives you the right of your work but protects from website plagiarism and site scrapping.

There are 6 Licenses to choose from.

The Ten Most Dangerous Things Users Do Online

dr2006 secdrlogo The Ten Most Dangerous Things Users Do OnlineEver wondered why there are so many viruses, worms, trojans, inshort malware and all those ‘i hate it when it happens’ , stuff in your system. Have you ever said, “.. I have the latest virus update, the latest spam blocker, the latest popup blocker .. blah blah blah .. (the list never ends) .. but my system has viruses, i keep getting spams, i have obscene pop-ups once i connect to the net…”.

Its not the problem of the software, nor is the problem of the system, its the problem with the person using the system.

“…No matter how many times they are trained, no matter how many classes they hold, most IT professionals still watch helplessly as end users introduce new malware because they “just couldn’t resist looking at the attachment.”…”

So here is a list of The Ten Most Dangerous Things Users Do Online.
