Web3.0 … Wait what was Web2.0?

400px Web 2.0 Map.svg Web3.0 ... Wait what was Web2.0?

Well, Web2.0 was defined and many people are yet to know about it, though they are living and breeding in it.

Web 2.0 as defined in wikipedia -
Web 2.0 – refers to a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services — such as social-networking sites, wikis and folksonomies — which facilitate collaboration and sharing between users.

While many still argue and debate about the Web 2.0 as mere term and has nothing to do with the world-wide-web, when still people are trying to conceive the web in terms or versions, when half of the world is yet to get connected and many thousands are dying. Here comes Web 3.0. (WTF.. yeah that was what went through my mind first)

Read/WriteWeb reports –

He said that while Web 2.0 was based on Ajax, Web 3.0 will be “applications that are pieced together” – with the characteristics that the apps are relatively small, the data is in the cloud, the apps can run on any device (PC or mobile), the apps are very fast and very customizable, and are distributed virally (social networks, email, etc).

He called Web2.0 as a marketing strategy too.

His definition is towards more mobility and connectivity. Hey, Wait a sec! i have been hearing the same stuff for a long time round.

Net @ HOME … (finally!!!)

broadband growth teletruth bush Net @ HOME ... (finally!!!)The last post is very special for me for 2 reasons …

  1. Its the first post after getting the net connection at home. We took a TATA Indicom Broadband connection. Given the efficiency of the system of our country we were really lucky to get the connection after 1 month and 4 days and 4 complaints at the customer care … icon smile Net @ HOME ... (finally!!!) tata indicom broadband Net @ HOME ... (finally!!!)
  2. Its the first post at my blog from my laptop, more over i posted it from Linux. Thanks GOD no more windows in posting. I have to agree, after seeing my blog in Windows machines, it was a treat for my eyes to see it in Linux

The second reason holds more importance though … icon wink Net @ HOME ... (finally!!!)

Though it took some time for us to get the connection, i’m happy about the fact that we finally got it. Looking back how it was 5 years back with just 1 broadband service provider in a city and 10 years ago when dial-up was the only option, we have come a long way and that too at a blistering pace.

BSNL or Barat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, has the best service i believe. Their starting rate is 2Mbps, they dont give connection below that. So its of high demand and it takes more than a month to get the connection. Now thats a trend setter.

Go India Go… we can beat the World … We gave the world the greatest contribution ever and no one will ever come near that….
(any idea what it is? a clue without it even nothing is nothing…)

The Truth the “Vista” Way….

J’adore…

Is this the new VISTA ????

easier wmp Is this the new VISTA ????Microsoft‘s latest Windows Vista‘s hype had got me wondering, Is this going to be a big surprise for the computing world? Will it be the Ultimate OS?.. What the hell???

I got to see the features today at this link – See Windows Vista. So even though I’m really busy and dont generally get time for blogging these days, i just couldnt comment on what Vista had in store for the computing world.

It boasts about Windows Aero, Windows Flip 3D, Instant Search, live icon etc … WHAT… icon lol Is this the new VISTA ???? . These are somethings that has been around and they are selling old things in shiny new wrappers.

Hello Mr Gates, we have Mac OS and Linux and they already have this. Fedora Core 6 ships with all these features. What is Windows so happily saying about live icon, it was there even with KDE and GNOME that shipped with RedHat 9. Not to mention that RH9 and Windows XP came out almost at the same time.

It comes with Windows Internet Explorer 7, which is by far the worst browser I have seen. GOD!!! I have to use Windows at office…. icon sad Is this the new VISTA ????

Ok so I agree that you are coming with the latest OS, just tell me what is the minimum system requirements that are needed for this. Will it run or the worst install on a P2, 64MB, 4GB HDD system, which is like the ideal configuration that a poor third world person can afford to have. OR worst will he be able to buy this OS??? Where is development in this???

Dont be blind… See the future… Look through the WINDOWS… Through the WINDOWS to see the vast and unlimited opportunities that is waiting for you outside the WINDOWS - (courtesy for these lines – Jijesh and Praveen)
